Hello My Name Is...

Melody Poke

I am Melody Poke, the Music and Production Designer at Howard Connect Academy. I would describe myself as a walking music note because music has literally been my life since starting piano lessons in the 4th grade! I am a native of Chattanooga, TN and completed my undergraduate and graduate study at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and completed a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Violin Performance and also a Master's in Music Education with Kodály Certification. I am an active performer in and around the Chattanooga area and performed with numerous musical groups and orchestras. I have taught General Music for Hamilton County Schools for the past 6 years and I am very excited to be joining Howard Connect to provide creative and authentic learning opportunities for students!
